What is revision week?

A revision week for students in Year 11 of the British Educational System to optimally prepare for the GCSEs taking place in May/June 2024. In October last year, we conducted our very first revision week, which was a huge success. After that week was over, many of the students signed up for April 2024 and also joined our Study Corner family by attending  weekly sessions. You can read some of the students' reviews below.

 

This is a carefully crafted week of revision, designed for students, in order encourage them to spend enough time on revision and to build confidence in the core subjects so they can face their examination period with self-assurance.

 

One of the main difficulties students have when approaching the examination period is that of anxiety and nerves. This is often caused by an underlying lack of confidence in themselves. However, structured, tailored revision weeks, such as the one we are offering, have been proven to allay such fears. A walk-through of each examination, in conjunction with advice on how to dispel nerves, will be at the centre of this carefully structured week at The Study Corner’s premises on Theresiastraat, den Haag. We have collaborated with highly qualified educators, who thoroughly understand the British system, to create a unique opportunity for students in order to learn how to face examinations with more conviction.

 

Who is this for?

Although this is open to any student, the students who would benefit most from it will be those who find self-directed study in the holidays a difficult process, or those students who have examination anxiety. We will not only cover course content, past papers, practice questions and sample answers, but also explore ways to calm anxiety and maintain focus.

 

Of course, during school time, your child is lucky enough to be educated by some of the best teachers in the world. However, during the holidays, some children find it very difficult to self-motivate, so that’s where we can help!

 

How will the week work?

There is only space for 14 students which means that each one of them will receive high- quality revision material and guidance, delivered by experienced, qualified educators. Each session will be differentiated so that every student will be able to learn in their own way. This will be based on the information about your child that you provide us when you sign up. Below you will see the comprehensive, yet challenging, timetable, which is carefully designed to maximise your child’s revision experience

1500 euros for fully qualified educators to help your child revise efficiently for their GCSEs. 10% discount if your name is mentioned in another booking!

 

What is included?

9am- 5pm timetable of study, which will be guided by qualified educators and tailored to the individual needs of each student in a warm, nurturing environment at The Study Corner’s premises Theresiastraat in the Hague. Tea and bicuits are complimentary!
